Adding Color
Our Chromax™ coating accepts permanent marker ink very well. This gives you the option to add color to your Fish-Skull if you choose.

Here are some examples…

Add red to the gill plates.
The edges of the gill plates are flat allowing you to color them.
I suggest you color them before you begin tying. It takes about 5 seconds to do!
The red adds a touch of realism to your fly (and a nice aiming point for predatory fish)!
Color the skull to blend with materials.
As an example…the addition of some simple blue lines to this Blueback Herring imitation allows the head to blend a little better with the materials.
