Flymen Fishing Company is firmly focused on designing and selling innovative products for the weighted fly market and creating exciting “next generation” nymphing and streamer flies for use in both fresh and saltwater environments.

Under the well known Nymph-Head™ brand we manufacture and distribute the two most advanced ranges of fly tying beads on the planet. In addition, we have several new nymphing related products and fly ranges currently under development for future release during 2010 and beyond.

Fish-Skull™ is new realistic, weighted baitfish head that has been specifically designed for tying freshwater and saltwater streamer fly patterns. Quick-and-simple to tie, this latest innovation in fly tying materials offers fly fisherman an exciting alternative to using old style dumbbells or cones to weight their streamers.

Martin Bawden

Flymen Fishing Company is owner managed by Martin Bawden who has been fortunate over the years to have lived near and fished some of the best waters to be found in the United States, United Kingdom, South Africa and Zimbabwe. The company is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA which provides Martin and the Flymen team with easy access to some of the best freshwater and saltwater fisheries in the United States.

Martin is the designer of the Nymph-Head™ and Fish-Skull™ and when not on the water doing “field testing,” can be found tying at various fly fishing events such as the annual International Fly Tying Symposium, The Fly Fishing Shows and the Virginia Fly Fishing Festival. Articles on his innovative fly tying product and fly patterns have appeared in various fly fishing publications.

Mike Smith, owner/operator of New River Fly Fishing,
regularly teaches college fly fishing courses and is a fly
designer and marketing consultant for Flymen Fishing Company. He is also the author of five fishing books, known as the Angler’s Guide Series, which includes Fishing the New River Valley: an Angler’s
Guide.

Mike has an evolving series of signature flies that
features the Forage Fly , Saltwater Forage Fly, River Creature, Salt Creature and Flash Minnow with more innovative patterns to
