Fish-Skull™

The Fish-Skull™ is a weighted head that has a realistic baitfish profile and is specifically designed for tying freshwater and saltwater streamer fly patterns. Quick-and-simple to tie, this latest innovation in fly tying offers fly fishermen an exciting alternative to using old-style dumbbells or cones to weight their flies.

Fish-Skull™ Sculpin Helmet

The Sculpin Helmet is an exciting, new style of Fish-Skull™ with a realistic, flat and broad profile that imitates common bottom-dwelling fish species such as sculpins, gobies and baby catfish. Heavier than the Fish-Skull™ it is designed for use on both hook and tube flies allowing anglers to easily tie weighted streamers that fish deep and imitate these popular food sources.

Fish-Skull™ Articulated Shank

The Articulated Shank™ is an innovative, new fly tying material designed to simplify the tying of articulated flies. It can be used as a simple component in different styles of articulated flies such as single-hook and two-hook articulated streamers and poppers. It is also used for streamers that use a free-swinging stinger hook such as Intruder-style salmon and steelhead flies.

Fish-Skull™ Frantic Tails

Frantic Tails are ultra-lightweight, bite-proof, synthetic fish-tails that can be used for almost any style of baitfish fly pattern or surface popper. They have  a realistic baitfish profile offering fly fishermen a simple and effective alternative to using hackle and other traditional tail materials. They are made of an almost indestructible synthetic suede that cannot be bitten off, will not shrink and is easily colored with a permanent marker pen. Most importantly, they produce a frisky, fish-attracting tail action when fished!

Fish-Skull™ Living Eyes

Fish-Skull™ Living Eyes are the next generation of 3D fish eyes for fly tying. Using the latest in photo-realistic holographic technology, Flymen has developed the most realistic range of 3D fish-eyes for fly tying on the planet at a very compelling price point. No longer will fly tiers have to rely on fish eyes created using an ‘artist’s impression’ of what they think fish eyes look like.

Fish-Skull™ Flash Generator

This is the key “flash” material used in the new Fish-Skull™ Egg Sucking Flash Minnow (ESFM) pattern which we have made available as a stand-alone fly tying material to meet the strong demand from fly tiers who wish to tie their own ESFM style of flies.

Fish-Skull™ Senyo’s Articulated Shank

Greg Senyo’s Articulate Shank is a new version of the Fish-Skull™ articulated shank designed specifically for tying Intruder-style and other modern steelhead & salmon flies.

Fish-Skull™ Crawbody

The Fish-Skull™ CrawBody is a realistic, anatomically correct crayfish (“crawdad”) exoskeleton made of the same light-weight, synthetic suede material as the Fish-Skull™ Frantic Tails. They are easy to use enabling even a novice fly tier to create simple, but effective crayfish imitations.

Fish-Skull™ Chocklett’s Articulated Big Game Shank

As the name suggests, Blane Chocklett’s version of the Fish-Skull® Articulated Shank is designed for large, articulated flies used when hunting river, lake and sea monsters!

Fish-Skull™ Fish-Mask

The Fish-Mask™ with its front fitting technique is quick-and-easy to tie with, and offers a simple, effective alternative to using 5-minute or light-hardening epoxies to create streamer heads.

Fish-Skull™  Articulated Fish-Spine

The Fish-Skull® Articulated Fish-Spine is an innovative system of interconnected, articulated shanks that combine to form a multi-jointed, “fish spine” upon which incredibly animate and realistic baitfish patterns can be tied.
